Hey all, I have a 2000 Johnson 150 and today I had the cowling off in the water checking for a fuel leak and I found a port on the bottom side of the starboard back part of the block, under the spark plugs. It shoots water out into the cowling and the faster I rev the engine, the more water comes out. I took the boat to the mechanic that worked on it before and he thought it may be a port to hook up a water gauge, that may have used to have a cap on it but wasn't sure. Recommended to plug it. Any ideas? Is it part of the cooling system? I have pics, but don't know how to post them here. How do u do that too?

Thanks,
Steven

I found a diagram in a manual I have that says it's a water restrictor. Can't find anything else about it--what to do w/it? Any ideas?
